Las Vegas, California and beyond.

Well I have had a very exciting month of January so far. I won't give every detail because either I have already told you or plan to tell you when I see you next but, in the last few weeks I went to Las Vegas and several places in California. Las Vegas was fun but I had more fun in Atlantic City! California on the other hand was definitely a whole new experience for me. I have never been somewhere with so many different climates and terrains all bundled into one. We stayed in Rancho Mirage for the majority of the trip and it was actually one of my favorite places the whole trip. Rancho Mirage is a lush, green, flowering, tropical oasis in the middle of the desert. Several famous people live and have lived in the town and when visiting there its easy to see why.

Another cool place we went was Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, and Malibu. I group them together because when your driving along the highway its almost hard to tell one from the other. I really enjoyed seeing all three of them and hope to go back and spend more time in each someday. Lastly Hollywood was a cool place to see. It would have been way cooler if I kept up with movie stars and such but I still enjoyed it!

I really can't wait to go back. I've been home almost a week and have been miserable ever since I left. Its way easier adjusting to a warm balmy climate than it is adjusting to the artic of the Eastern Shore! Alex and I are talking about going back in April. I guess we will see how my job search progression is going.

Speaking of job search, while I was in CA my old boss at Cato called and asked if I could work there till I found a job. I am so thankful to have a good boss who appreciated me as an employee and friend. I am also thankful to have some money coming in while I find a job. I know when my two best friends graduated college it took them several months to find a job and they both went back to their previous jobs and now they are doing really well. Lets just hope this is my case as well!

The past four days Alex painted my room. It was bubblegum pink with polka dots- a four year olds dream room. Now it is a burgundy/rose color. Very mature looking :] Alex still calls it pink but it definitely is more on the borderline of burgundy. Today mom and I are going to buy fabric to make curtains. I have a lovely black and white fabric picked out that will go PERFECT with the victorian look I was going for.

Well have a great day and Happy almost Birthday to me ;]

  1. I loved Santa Barbara! If you go in April, take a surfing lesson!
