do parents do it?! I have been babysitting since about 4pm yesterday and I am going BANANAS! I can't take anymore. All I have done is cook and clean and wash dishes and pick up toys and help Zach use his potty, and wash his hands, constantly! I hardly have time to eat myself. As soon as I am done cleaning up from one meal they are asking for a snack. How in the heck these kids aren't 500 pounds I dont know!
A few weeks ago my mom and I were talking and she said, "I really hope you and Alex wait along time to have kids because once you have them LIFE IS OVER" She wasn't freaking kidding. Mom always has the best advice.

honey and sugar scrub

Honey and Sugar Scrub Mask for face, feet, elbows, knees, or wherever the hell you please!
Ingredients:
equal parts of raw honey and raw sugar.
you can also add in any herbs that you would like.
Directions:
stir together in bowl and tada your finished
I love this scrub and I haven't even bothered buying scrub since I started making it. You can also use olive oil and sugar but I feel like the olive oil stinks and leaves your skin oily. Honey hydrates and kills bacteria so it is awesome for your face. It also leaves your feet very soft. If you use it exclusively for your feet you could throw in some fresh grated mint for a minty zingy scent!

skip de doo
I have been so busy painting! I have found all of this inspiration lately (which is my biggest problem when it comes to painting) and I can't stop coming up with new things to draw and paint! This is actually kind of great! The more I paint the more I learn about different techniques and such.
Secondly, I have been doing very good with becoming Catholic :] This Sunday will be my fourth sunday in a ROW going. If you can believe that one haha. I talked to the lady who is in charge of the Catholic classes on the phone and in person and I start those in fall...I am actually excited about this because the more I learn about Catholicism the more I like it and the less I understand protestants! I feel like I am asking Alex a ton of questions every week about stuff, especially after mass. I can't wait to go to the classes and figure out why some of the things are done the way they are.
Thirdly, I LOVE ALEX :] We have so much fun together. Its really cool that we are starting our 4th year together and I still feel the exact same way I felt about him when we first started seeing each other.
Fourthly, I LOVE JESSICA!!!!!!!! I miss her so much these days its retarded. I didn't see her last weekend and it made me very upset. We are both so busy we don't have time for visiting these days. I am looking at Ben and Carrie's wedding as a romantic getaway for us :P
have an awesome week people.

what have i been up to you ask?
Painting. I have been a painting fool here lately. I painted blue and green stripes in my hallway, I painted my fridge in the house purple, I painted my railings and other random objects around the house and I painted an acrylic on canvas mermaid pic. It is very cartoony and cute. I almost think I could sell pictures like this with a little more practice (I accidently only gave my mermaid 9 fingers...details details).
Alex and I have begun been trying to make my house ours I guess you could say. I know next summer I am going to be so overwhelmed with wedding stuff that I thought I would start now. One reason he really loved the house he grew up in was the backyard. So we are trying to make the backyard more sit-able if that makes any sense. The other day we bought 30 of those stones you lay in the yard to make a patio. This week we are going to buy 40 more to make it big enough for a fire pit, chairs, and the backyard table. I think it is going to be very nice and hopefully a place where many memories are made. My front porch definitely lacks privacy! I am going to prolong painting my pink girly cutsey bedroom because I want it to be pink girly and Jamieliscious for as long as I can get away with it :]
Also, Alex and I are getting a canoe! This is something we have been wanting to do for the past 2 years and we are finally going to do it. The canoe, oars, and lifevests are going to cost about a thousand bucks so I am thinking we may incorporate this canoe into our honeymoon. We have been talking about going to Savannah, GA for a few years and I have never been so we may take a roadtrip there and bring the canoe! Savannah isn't exactly tropical but since we are staying at my house we are going to save up so much money that we can do a tropical honeymoon for our 1 year anniversary if we want! Plus our honeymoon would be in the first week of October and I cannot think of a better place to be in October than Savannah. I believe Savannah is known for being incredibly haunted and spooky and I would love it! I love fall so much!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Gabi's wedding is in almost a month and I am a bridesmaid! I am all of a sudden getting kind of nervous because I can be a little bit of a weeper when it comes to situations like this. I went to a wedding a few months ago and I cried, and cried, and cried..and cried. I really didn't even know the couple THAT well. I can only imagine what I will be like being in a close friends wedding. This will be good haha. And more importantly...WHAT ABOUT MY OWN. I cry at the thought of walking down the isle and seeing Alex. Seriously Im tearing up now. Great, Im going to work on toughening up in the next few months. Ok thats all.

oil spill
I don't claim to know anything about politics, I rarely watch the important parts of the news, and I do not go out of my way to save our planet or environment but this oil spill is really driving me nuts. Everyday I think about the fact that if the oil keeps spilling out the Eastern Shore may not even be live-able next year (or this year..idk). I feel like nothing is really even being done about it. Think back a few months ago to the earthquakes in South America, it was all over the news, the president was doing all he could to help out, celebrities were pitching in, blah blah blah it was a big deal. How come things aren't being done for the oil spill? Is Obama doing anything?! Last night I was watching fireworks, and having a sentimental moment about being proud to live in America and I couldn't help but laugh thinking that Obama is probably in some other country...I doubt he was but it sure wouldn't surprise me. Anyhow that is my griping for the night over that whole deal.
