Well any college graduate could understand my frustration with the next few topics haha.
-First of all its annoying that people don't understand why I took my pre-college job back. I don't have a job. They called me for a job. Put two and two together and some money is better than none.
-Next, it really is annoying when people keep telling me I should open a boutique. If you haven't noticed we are in an economic slump! Also the only places where I could open a boutique that would do remotely well around here...are not close to my house at all.
-Third annoying topic..."why don't you move to New York and open a business?" UMMMM thats nice except I don't have any money to just pick up, move, rent an apartment, and a space to open my boutique plus buy inventory!
ps. went back to work tonight and loved it, missed it, and can't wait to go in on wednesday haha.
And people who were obsessed with Jess and my long hair and can't understand why we cut it....grow your hair to your ass and see how you like it. :]

Las Vegas, California and beyond.
Well I have had a very exciting month of January so far. I won't give every detail because either I have already told you or plan to tell you when I see you next but, in the last few weeks I went to Las Vegas and several places in California. Las Vegas was fun but I had more fun in Atlantic City! California on the other hand was definitely a whole new experience for me. I have never been somewhere with so many different climates and terrains all bundled into one. We stayed in Rancho Mirage for the majority of the trip and it was actually one of my favorite places the whole trip. Rancho Mirage is a lush, green, flowering, tropical oasis in the middle of the desert. Several famous people live and have lived in the town and when visiting there its easy to see why.
Another cool place we went was Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, and Malibu. I group them together because when your driving along the highway its almost hard to tell one from the other. I really enjoyed seeing all three of them and hope to go back and spend more time in each someday. Lastly Hollywood was a cool place to see. It would have been way cooler if I kept up with movie stars and such but I still enjoyed it!
I really can't wait to go back. I've been home almost a week and have been miserable ever since I left. Its way easier adjusting to a warm balmy climate than it is adjusting to the artic of the Eastern Shore! Alex and I are talking about going back in April. I guess we will see how my job search progression is going.
Speaking of job search, while I was in CA my old boss at Cato called and asked if I could work there till I found a job. I am so thankful to have a good boss who appreciated me as an employee and friend. I am also thankful to have some money coming in while I find a job. I know when my two best friends graduated college it took them several months to find a job and they both went back to their previous jobs and now they are doing really well. Lets just hope this is my case as well!
The past four days Alex painted my room. It was bubblegum pink with polka dots- a four year olds dream room. Now it is a burgundy/rose color. Very mature looking :] Alex still calls it pink but it definitely is more on the borderline of burgundy. Today mom and I are going to buy fabric to make curtains. I have a lovely black and white fabric picked out that will go PERFECT with the victorian look I was going for.
Well have a great day and Happy almost Birthday to me ;]

childhood celebrites
The celebrities that I thought were the "shiznit" as a kid! I was at one point or another obsessed with all of these!
Richard Geer - I still love him, what a man.

Leonardo Dicaprio- Titanic. nuff said.

Christina Aguilera- I ADORE her...big fan. I pretty much survived my entire teenage life with her music.

Mark Paul Gosselar- I've had a huge crush on him my entire life.

Aaron Carter- I was entirely too obsessed with him as a teenager...he is sooo not cute now!! its just not right.

Johnathon Taylor Thomas- I remember being crazy about him in kindergarten...

Shania Twain- I cannot stand her music now!

Celine Dion- I just don't know...I really can't listen to her anymore either

Fran Drescher- I always dreamed I would go on Opra and meet Fran. I identified with her nasal voice...haha. I also attribute my fashion sense to her...!

new years resolution
2011 is fast approaching and today I decided my resolution will to be to eat more fruits in place of junk food. My second resolution is to take time and breath every now and again. I know I seem like a laid back person but sometimes I am so on end I can't just relax and soak up what is going on around me. I really need to teach myself to do that this year because I have so many awesome things happening and I don't want them to all fly by before my eyes! So those are my resolutions, what are yours?

beauty blog
I figured I would give you an update on my olive oil skin care regimen. Well since this is only my 2nd week, so I am terribly reluctant to rant and rave over the olive oil right away but so far so good! As we all know throughout the month and every season our skin changes drastically so it is going to take a few months before I am really sold on this. So I have changed up what I am doing. I found that washing my skin with olive oil and then washing it off was really drying my skin out. The olive oil was clinging to my face oil and when I washed it off my face felt so dry. So I switched to washing my face with honey and using olive oil as the moisturizer at night and then during the day washing my face with olive oil and using regular face lotion as my moisturizer and spot moisturize with olive oil (mainly under my nose cause its so dry there). I have also used the same foundation everyday, which doesn't sound like a hard task but I switch between about 5. I have read that it is a good idea to not constantly switch your makeup as that could cause breakouts. I have yet to really see the logic behind that but I am trying it out. I also switched to a MAC powder foundation which is MUCH lighter than the MAC cream foundation I was using.
Old Regimen:
wash with cetaphil
moisturize with clinique
spot treat with clean and clear or burts bees
New Regimen:
heat honey in microwave for 6 seconds. smear on face and leave on for 20 minutes
moisturize with olive oil and leave it on. also smear in hair just for the hell of it haha
spot treat with a mixture of salt and water and leave salt on skin and dab with honey
Ok enough about my skin- seriously you would think I look like a freakin leper by reading this...
My second beauty rave is about this new lipstick I got. In fact I drove allll the way to bury today to buy it because I've been feaning for a new mac shade. seriously i have an illness. Anyhow, I love a great shade of red lipstick. I have in fact become one of those people who wears red lipstick during the daytime but I realize that sometimes its just too much depending on what I am wearing. This shade of red is just perfect. It is a very natural red but still has some pop. It goes on so nice and smooth too. I definitely recommend it for women (or men...whatever floats your boat) with a pale skin tone. It is lovely.

Lastly, I have yet to post a pic of my new hair. IT IS SO SHORT!!! I am really in love with it. And I think Alex is too believe it or not. I was convinced he was a long hair man after this last hair cut but I think he genuinely is digging me with the short hair. I haven't posted a pic of my hair because I have been so sick and every pic I take I just look like death- so of course I am waiting till I am back to good health and you shall see :]
So to some this up, buy some olive oil and honey and with all the money you save on facial care buy a great shade of lipstick to show off your new lovely skin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
