I feel like I blog about this show alot...Teen Mom. Potentially the best show on MTV EVER. haha Ok so Farrah went to the doctor to get birth control and she didn't want to tell her parents because she thought they would freak out. If my daughter got pregnant at 16 and had a baby I would be THRILLED she decided to go on birth control!!!
I can practically SMELL summer vacation. Today I finished my last 10 page paper of the semester. The only thing I have left to do is do the fabric count of my garment and finish the powerpoint presentation and I am DONNNE. This has been such an overwhelming semester and I am praying next semester is easier on me.
Tomorrow I am giving a presentation on my fake business. I am really excited because I made up a dog grooming business so there is pictures of Ruby in the powerpoint :] haha.
have a great day faithful readers!!!!

week 2
All sorts of updates. Ok Alex and I thought we had set the date for October 1, 2011 which is a saturday. Then today it hit me that September 24th is actually the first time he told me he loved me so it seems fitting to get married that day four years later! So September 24, 2011 it is!!! It just so happend that was a saturday as well so its perfect. We both love that time of year cause its still warm being that its the end of summer but it is not miserably hot being that it is the beginning of fall, and since we fell in love during that time it is very fitting.
Secondly, I think I made my first actual decision that may begin the theme of the wedding (which I have been soo unsure about). I think I want all of the flower arrangements to be completely different with one uniting theme...milk glass vases. I love the simplicity of milk glass but they have that vintage retro feel that I really like. Plus after the wedding I can use them in our house and they will remind me of that day.
Jess brought something to my attention about a destination wedding...the dogs can't come :[ I really wanted them to be in the wedding because they are a big part of our lives. :[

your truly my friend if you read all of this haha
Today I went and bought my spring flowers! i bought some kind of flowering vine for my hanging basket, petunias to put in my old rainboots turned into a flower pot, another huge petunia to put in my old bicycle flower pot, and i planted a few petunias by the dog pen. I also got a tomato and pepper plant but haven't found the time to plant them yet. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice out so I will cut the grass and finish my gardening.
After school ends and my yard is near perfection I plan to start over at 510 in Pocomoke. I gotta clear the yard of all the leftover auction junk. Then I am going to trim up some bushes, spray some roundup, and get that garden under control somewhat. I may not have any control on the inside of the house but I plan to keep the outside looking nice.
Last year I did an obscene amount of yard work and I have found that this year I have had to do hardly any. I guess because I got everything under control last year. I am glad that keeping my yard looking nice isn't going to be as daunting as it has been because I was unsure if I could do that every year!
I really hope everything works out with 510 and that Alex has the energy and the know-how to do all the repairs. I definitely have some great ideas for this house. Alex and I decided we were going to splurge on a nice comfy couch and he agreed with me that a leopard sofa would be awesome!!! I also have a palm tree that is touching the ceiling in my current house so in the new house it will have plenty more room to grow!
Today I presented my China presentation. I think it went really well. After the presentation the teacher came up to me and asked what was going on with my finger and I said I was engaged and she goes "status symbol" haha. she is from Swaziland in Africa and I don't think that is a big deal there. She is a neat teacher. I actually really like all of my teachers. All of them are brilliant and most of them are young and fun to be around. I really am going to miss the people at UMES after I graduate. I really have enjoyed my time there and am glad that I chose a historically black college after all.

destination wedding
Alex and I are thinking of doing a destination wedding. As for anything I am going to make a pro and con list:
Pro's
-put the money towards a week long adventure as opposed to a 4 hour wedding
-vacation for the whole family!
-be able to buy the Betsey Johnson dress I want as opposed to a wedding dress I would never wear again
-save on alot of work, invitations, setup, dj, cater, etc...
Con's
-you only get married once so why not have a big extravaganza
-less potential presents...which isn't a big deal because there isn't a thing in the world that we really NEED
-having family there on honeymoon...even though Im hoping everyone would leave the day after the actual ceremony...haha
AHHH I dont freakin know. Mom really wants me to do a destination wedding but I am afraid I may be disapointed by not actually doing the whole huge process of getting married. Maybe after I look at a few venues I will have a better idea of what I want because right now the only thing I KNOW is that I am wearing red Betsey Johnson stilletoes with rhinestones across the front :] More reason to have a short wedding dress to show them puppies off haha.

yes more good news :] haha

well today Alex and I signed on the house! His parents lived there for 23 years and they are going west. Its a 4 bedroom, 1 and a half bath, 2 story house. Its a historic federal style house thats yellow with black shutters. Oh and it has clouds painted on the ceilings :] Oh and the cutest screen door you could ever imagine for the front door. It has an amazing backyard with a hot tub nestled right in the back and the neighbors JUST put up a fence so they don't have to see what goes on in that hottub. bahaha. Anyhow alot of work needs to be done on the inside so in the mean time we aren't going anywhere, but after this house is all done it will pretty much be my dream house.
Its funny because a week ago from tonight Alex and I were sobbing because we thought it was going to be sold and it did sell...to US haha.

one thing off the list...
Today I wrote up the guest list! I know what your thinking...Jamie you haven't been engaged for 5 days yet and you've done the guest list?! but yes, I have. You know how I am, I will have this whole wedding planned in 2 months time haha.
So the approximate count is almost 100 so far. Alex still has to look at it but I included every family member of his I could think of and family friends, his friends etc...I guess after he looks at it I will give it to his mom and my mom to see if there is anybody else they can think of.
I wanted to look at some venues this summer and I can't look at venues without knowing an approximate number so I thought it would be a good idea to get that out of the way.
In other news, tonight I finished another big presentation on China. I haven't given the presentation yet but I completed the powerpoint. It is going to be neat, my group is wearing traditional kimonos, serving chicken fried rice, green tea, and giving them chopsticks (the nice washable kind) to keep. We are also celebrating the classroom big time. Hanging lanterns, decorating the walls, we have those parasol umbrellas to sit around. Should be interesting. Maybe all that decoration will distract people from the crappy presentation! haha
Tomorrow I am going to a Relay For Life fashion show at UMES then I am meeting Alex in Berlin to go get my ring made!!!!
Friday Jess is coming home and Saturday we are going to Seacrets to see a band we like for happy hour! Then on Sunday is the bbq. so that is my week in a nutshell.

cloud 9
Well, I think I have reached cloud 9! This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life. I woke up this morning and searched my night stand for the ring to make sure yesterday wasn't a dream!! And honestly it IS a dream, I couldn't have wrote this love story any better than God has and is.
For those of you that have asked, we are going to get the ring re-sized on monday so after I get it back I will post a picture. It is very me and its special because it was his moms and she wanted me to have it. He is lucky to have such a great family and I am lucky to become apart of it!
ok i really need to go back to reality and do some homework....
